Candy's newest post:
"Whether you've had guests, or a sick child, or something unexpected happened, sometimes something occurs, in which your nice, clean house gets turned into a disaster area. :-?For me, it was a sick child. My little girl had a fever of 102.9 last night, and she was miserable. Her tummy was distended, so we gave her some Castoria, and she seemed to be able to sleep pretty well after that." First, I looked at several website in regards to a fever that high, and every single post reccomended (recommended) calling a doctor immediately. This is why she needs to be prepared for when CPS shows up.
"While the kids are eating, get yourself dressed. Forget the frumpy sweatpants and baggy t-shirt! Put on something that will make you feel good throughout the day. Put on a pretty dress, and put a pretty, matching hair band in your hair. A touch of lipstick or mascara won't hurt, if you like those things as well. ;-)"
Is anyone sick of the dumb little smiley faces at the end of her sentences. It doesn't take a MENSA candidate to understand her tone or her point of view, but I am sure that she is always taken back by people getting offended. So if you say something like "If you don't believe like me you are a terrible parent :)" that softens it up, right. Secondly, who in the world throws on a dress to do house work???? Get the make up on, a thong, and your high heels it's laundry time.
"By this time, your kids are done eating, and may be running a muck... Don't worry about table chores - your kitchen was probably already a major mess before breakfast, anyhow. Send your children to their room(s), and instruct them that they are not to come out, until they are dressed, their beds are made, and their room(s) is/are cleaned.
Kids done with their room chores? Good - assign them chores, to help get the house cleaned up. Older children can vacuum, younger children can wipe things down. Meanwhile, place yourself at one end of your house, and tidy and put things away. Work your way - room to room - until you're at the other side of the house."
Her house sounds worse than Chinese child labor trafficking. Maybe less time blogging and your kitchen will not be a mess. I am also guessing that we are shifting her out of her routine, and it is sounds like the kids are having to burden more of the work.
"You can have some family read aloud time, go to the park, watch a bit of PBS (be careful what you watch, however), or go to your favorite Christian book store, etc." PBS are you sure you want your children watching such a liberal network?

When I saw, "be careful what you watch", I rolled my eyes. Seriously, what could you find offensive or even mildly questionable about PBS children's shows?
Maybe someone can enlighten me here because I'm being serious not sarcastic - what is the purpose of all the homemade bread and yogurt and kombucha tea and whatnot? For someone who is so concerned about health, they sure do seem to get sick a lot. Maybe I'm missing something.
Two things:
One, I'm not longer banned from commenting on my home computer. I made up a hotmail address and I am now "Susan". I left some inane comment on there a bit ago to make sure I could comment again.
Two, supposedly, homemade bread and yogurt are better for you. I know homemade bread tastes better and is cheaper to make, and she puts all sorts of "stuff" in it that is supposed to make it healthier. I also believe that homemade yogurt is supposed to contain beneficial bacteria that store bought does not. As for the tea, I don't get that, either. I've googled it, and not found any benefits that, to me, warrant the effort involved in making it. (And this is coming from someone who does make her own soap and would make her own bread if she had time!)
Don't get me wrong, I do a lot of dorky, old fashioned things. But she's totally over the top.
It isn't about making your own soap or bread. I personally, do not believe she does all the things she says she does. She is just over the top about everything and they way she condemns people to hell with a smile on her face. Have any of you read her step by step instruction on how to keep CPS away? That is disturbing. How about those picture of the baby sweeping the floors? I think he kids spend more time cleaning than on education.
When I saw her post on how to make yogurt and buttermilk, it made me never, ever want to drink buttermilk or eat yogurt again. Just like you said Amanda helpful "bacteria." That scares me to death. She is close to being Amish on her blog, but she truly is a sham, or maybe not. The way she works those kids, it is completely possible that she is real. I mean she has an army of troops willing to wash, clean, wipe, sweep, and scrub at her every beckon call, but probably not. I loved the post about if your kid is not behaving, you are not a good Christian. She is the best.
I haven't seen the step-by-step instructions on how to keep CPS away. Is that archived somewhere? I'm dying to read it!
Where are the "what to do when CPS shows up" instructions I can't find them?
It is hard to find, but I will start digging again and send the link.
You left out some good parts. For example: Do I get upset? Frankly, that would be stupid. :-(
Yeah, why be upset that you needed some extra sleep while being up with the baby all night, and your inconsiderate husband and the kids trashed the house while you were sleeping? No, you just keep smiling and being full of JOY and get your ass to work! That'll teach you to sleep in again anyway!
Hello, Stepford Wife!
Well, she has removed her CPS page, but while trying to find it....I found something interesting that tells why she created that detailed version of CPS. I think it will be posted soon!
Her 7 year old was taken into CPS custody in April 2007 according to another blogger. I am researching it now to try and find details
When I was trying to locate her CPS info, I came across two things.
This is something I found on a website. Here is the link so you can see I didn't make it up.

Candy, over @ http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com/ has had her 7yo son taken into CPS custody. Apparently, he snuck out before everyone was awake and was riding his bike. A cop stopped in near a busy intersection where he was almost hit by a car. You get details and updates about the situation on her blog. Read what her husband wrote, it is awesome.
Please pray that the will of the LORD will be done in this situation.
CANDYLAND states that she has deleted everything to do with CPS.

BTW, you're my age. :-) My husband's a bit older, he's 41. It looks like a collegue that we used to know has just gotten a contract with a big company who is interested in a certain invention. Erik may get subcontracted at $20 dollars per hour working here at the house in his shop. That's pretty good money out where we live, and since our house is already paid off, and we are officially out of debt, $20 dollars per hour can go a long way. :-)
You're single? Then may I suggest you get in contact with Mike Hall of Better World Technology. I don't know if they're still doing it, but when I was out there, they were putting up Erik, myself and about a dozen other R&D people in a nice house with maids, sauna, hot tub, etc. You'd report at the shop every day, Mon-Fri, and work VERY long hours.
However, there's a LOT of paranoia out there. When Erik and I first entered town, we were followed, the house was bugged and it and the shop were repeatedly broken in to.
AND THEN YOU LIVED IN A RV
You know hubby dearest isn't really an electrical ENGINEER, but an Electronics TECHNICIAN. That's a BIG difference. Just one more lie in the pantheon.
And it doesn't really bother me that hubby dearest ran for Congress and garnered few votes, or even that his position is nutty and his history wrong (more of the lie that 'the founding fathers were devout Christians). That is one of the great things about the US, and I wish we had more willing to step out there and give us more options than what we have been getting. His ideas were tested by the voters of his district and found lacking.
The lies she tells, and the superiority complex, now THAT's a problem. Pray for those poor children of hers....they need so much more than what she is giving them.
Yep, HUGE difference between an electrical engineer and an electronics technician, as in something called education. My father is an electrical engineer, he has a degree in electrical engineering which is a 5-year degree (not a standard 4-year) and is officially registered as a professional engineer.
Does anyone here wonder if some of her lies are out of sheer ignorance? I guess it's just hard for me to understand purposely lying about something like that. I have known a couple of people who were ignorant enough to think that a relative or friend of theirs was an engineer, when in fact they were just an electronics technician.
For sure the majority of her lies are out of ignorance. I mean to proclaim that your husband was inducted into the inventor's hall of fame to a bunch of people she offends daily on their computer, and to not expect these people to Google "inventor's hall of fame." Which I might add the 2008 inductees are for Styrofoam and other really really creative stuff that is used daily. MENSA, her background, their income, and etc, the list goes on and on. That is what is so wonderful about it. The only true meaning of existence for this blog is curiosity by her readers, and an outlet for other people watching the nonsense. Someone shows up and finds out something that opens their eyes, you know like intelligence and differing opinion called sanity, or even an argument would all be priceless.
Some people believe that we are jealous, looking for acceptance, or just, by golly, hate a good thing, and want it to crash down. For me it is simple. You put a freak show, car wreck, or other freakish spectacle, I am going to watch. But it ain't no fun to watch, if you don't have some one to elbow, and say "did you see that."

LOLOL......yep, my sentiments exactly!!!
