I HAVE A VERY SPECIAL IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT.

Today in five minutes I will be announcing that.....I know you are on the edge of your seats, waiting their wondering what could it be, feeling disappointed that I did not give you enough time to gossip about what it was, and I know all are anticipating the fun that is to come.
And the announcement is......

I AM GOING TO MAKE SOME TOAST THIS MORNING.

I just figured I had to one up Candy, because making toast is about as interesting to me as going to a fake online party.

Ladies and Gentlemen The Zealots have left the building!!

Matthew 7:15-1615Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Proverbs 31:6Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

Wow, it is sounding like Candy's intolerant readers are turning on her. Ladies and Gentlemen Candy has asked the zealots to leave the building. Strange, strange, strange. There are actually people out there more judgemental than Candy? Look out, we may have to go and find them as well. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, what sayeth Candy:

"Well, I've shaken some dirt from this broom... There have been some "loyal readers" highly offended that I have NON-ALCOHOLIC beer in my fridge, and some have been highly offended that I like worship songs, such as "Holy is Your Name." Well, if anyone has a problem with that, then let me show you to the door... God forbid you should keep reading here, and get yourself angry. :-?
Meanwhile, I was so blessed to read of so many other ladies who keep their children with them in church service. It sometimes seems like I'm the only one. It gets "lonely," when I don't know other people who believe as I do, about worshiping the Lord ToGeThEr, as a family, and not shipping the kids off to do who knows what... I'll write an article about it soon, as it is something dear to my heart.
Next... Yes, I know Foursquare was founded by a woman - so? I don't see the big deal. Their teachings are solid, and I won't attend any churches with a woman preacher. I don't agree with everything with Foursquare, just as I don't agree with everything IFB. There is probably no church out there that I agree with everything on.
I don't know if I'll leave IFB for Foursquare, or something else, or if I'll stay where I'm put. I'm praying about it, and planning on visited a few churches - that's it.
Next, there have been several requests about scriptures in regards to the age of accountability, and that all babies go to heaven. Yes, there are several verses on that... I added that topic to my "blog about" list, and will write an article on that soon, as well. Candy Homepage 06.27.08 - 6:06 pm # "
Now it is non alcoholic beer, and then she edited her post to clarify. I think she has a couple of real beers, but just doesn't like being on the other side of the ridicule fence. She thought oh no I am not the zealot anymore, I need to change that. It is funny that the Candy heads make the same arguments we do to Candy about the people complaining about her alcoholism, but they don't see the irony in the fact that they have spent the last years arguing against those arguments. Wow talk about head in the sand.

The True Harm of Candy's Blog

We had a mother of 2 comment this week on this site, and it was rather moving. I knew there were women out there, and most are still reading Candy’s blog, that are beating themselves up about not keeping up with the Brauer home. I thought her words were eloquent and told a story that I know cannot be unique. Countryangle stated “ I started reading candy's site and started thinking there was something wrong with me. I didn't have everything moving perfect in my home. I'm just a mom with 2 kids. Mine are not perfect like hers. We argue and I have to get loud at times. I was new to blogs and I figured I was a true failure.I spent a lot of my husbands hard earned money making a binder and trying to follow it like she told me. Again I failed. I didn't use it like she did. I also noticed that I spent a heck of a lot of time putting it together and not getting anything done around the house. I broke down and told my husband about it and he got to reading her blog. He would laugh out loud and I couldn't figure out what he found funny. He told me I was crazy to try and follow her lies. He pointed out that there wasn't enough time in one day to be so perfect.“
This is just it. Trying to be perfect. First of all the Bible teaches us that we are not perfect, but are very fallible. I will not quote the Bible, but on rare occasions. I think that scripture is far less critical than the way you interpret it (like Candy I am not a believer in legalism when it comes to religion, but unlike Candy I will be consistent with that belief). I can if challenged, but I don’t believe it is necessary to prove that the Bible is against killing by quoting the ten commandments. Some things I will assume are a given. With that being said, I think that one of the most frustrating issues and what brought me to this blog was the knowledge that there are several women beating themselves up on a daily basis due to Candy.
This is the issue. Candy portrays herself as someone with a perfect life, perfect family, and a happy perfect home. People read her site and wonder what is wrong with them. What I am I doing wrong to not have such a perfect family? When you speak as an authority on a subject , the key is credentials. What qualifies you to give advice on the subject you are talking about? With Candy it is how to raise your home in a Christian manner, and her credentials are her stories and description of the home she has. We know that description is false. We know that she does not live what she portrays, but many people do not. This story is not unique and I have seen descriptions of this on more than one occasion. Candy does not acknowledge that there are hard days when everything does not go right. Candy does not describe the challenges of being financially strapped. Candy does not explain how hard it is to deal with unruly children. Instead Candy condemns having all the above. Candy has stated (by using her favorite blunt object the bible) it is un Christian to have the above. When people read, respect, and take Candy’s word for gospel they set themselves up to always being disappointed. What is worse to have children that are difficult to raise or a parent with low self esteem about her parenting. I would argue the latter. The latter allows for the parents to become withdrawn, ashamed, and not the ability to learn how to enjoy life.
Candy puts up this ridiculous schedule that we all know is impossible to follow, and something has to suffer for the lack of time, and my guess are the kids. I would say that if it comes between teaching your child (home schooling) and making buttermilk, always choose the child.
Parents need to understand that parenting is an imperfect science. There are several unique challenges and the way you parent is going to be based upon your very unique past. To look at Candy, and to not know the lies, you would think if she can do it so can I, but that is just the point she can’t do it and doesn’t do it. There are several things about Candy that destroy her credentials as an authority figure. Her ignorance on several subjects, her low level of education, poor financial status, CPS showing up, and her insistence to lie about her life are all reasons that this site was created. To not only refute her vile and bigotry, but also to let people know it is okay to be imperfect, are the reasons this site was started. God expects none of us to be perfect. Life is a challenge, and a hard one with many mountains and mole hills. Once you are able to accept that the easier the challenges become, but to not accept yourself, because you hold too high of a standard (set by a deceptive soap box stander) you will never be happy, and you will never feel like a successful parent. I think to be a successful parent you just have to spend time and be there with your child. Be there with them when things go right and wrong and to teach them by example how to deal with those victories and challenges. Just because one thing works for one does not mean it applies across the board. Parenting is not something you get off the Internet or off an Internet site (sure you can get support, advice, and a place to talk to others with the same issue, but the situation you are in is unique to you and your family).
Hopefully more and more will visit and see that yes you can pick up tips from her site, but do not be deceived to the point that you think her description of her life is real. It just is not.

Candy's latest and greatest hypocricy

Candy 6/27/08
"That church was NKJV, but at least it wasn't NIV, or worse….
Then we moved to the state we're in now. We had a hard time finding a church. We ended up in one that was Campbelite (church of Christ). We didn't know it until we heard a few "off" sermons, and did some research. The church we're in now is almost Landmarkist (Baptist) in some areas, but isn't officially Landmarkist, thankfully. However, I've never felt totally welcome there, and I think it's probably because I'm not allowed to become a member or partake of Communion there, because I refuse to get re-baptized in a "Baptist church." I was already baptized! :-? Apparently, in the eyes of my church, my baptism "doesn't count," since they want me to do it again. :-( I don't want to water down my first baptism, by using baptism as a "club membership" tool.

I love my current church, but I think it's too legalistic. (Legalism as defined by Webster’s “1: an advocate or adherent of moral
legalism2: one that views things from a legal standpoint; especially : one that places primary emphasis on legal principles or on the formal structure of governmental institutions”) There's not much smiling there (however, pastor smiles, which is great) and after some members sing a solo or duet special, we are not allowed to clap, so as to not cause a pride problem in the person who sang. Thus, after the special song is over, the church is just sadly silent, with maybe a few men saying "Amen." When I clapped in the Foursquare church, I wasn't praising the person doing the singing, I was praising God for His greatness, and for giving that person the gift to bless us with song."

So what Candy is saying here is that she doesn’t like her church to be a mixture of Church of Christ and Baptist. The best part of her argument is about the church being legalistic. Here is the hypocrisy of this statement. To be too legalistic means to divert from the spirit and interpret the Bible too literally, and to move from what feels right to doctrine. So let’s recap: Candy only likes the KJV, and thank God it is not one of those other devilish Bibles (what in the world does that mean, is there really an evil Bible?). Secondly, Wikipedia describes legalism as “in
Christian theology, is a pejorative term referring to an improper fixation on law or codes of conduct, or legal ideas, usually implying an allegation of misguided rigor, pride, superficiality, the neglect of mercy, and ignorance of the grace of God or emphasizing the letter of law over the spirit. Legalism is alleged against any view that law, not faith in God's grace, is the pre-eminent principle of redemption. Its opposite error is antinomianism, which is alleged against a view that moral laws are not binding.”So when Candy gets on her soap box and spits out scriptures condemning Catholics this is what she is being, too legalistic. I mean wow to post this and then turn around and do the exact same thing you are complaining about to Catholics is amazingly hypocritical. She states that her baptism wasn’t good enough for her current church. Just like Catholic religion and other religions that she doesn’t agree with aren’t good enough for her nor you. Wow, I can only say, in her defense, that her ignorance and lack of education causes here to speak in this manner.

Ginger is just bubbling over

Ginger's comments on Candy's blog

"I know have a post in my honor at one of the anti candy sites. Wasn't that sweet. I feel so special. Anyways, keep on keeping on. Never loose faith in Christ. Remember they are not persecuting you, they are persecuting Christ."

We are persecuting Candy. Candy is not Christ, this is why we call her a false prophet. Anyway, you may want to learn the difference between now and know. I know knowing is difficult for you. I mean the discussion that you have with us are about as useful as talking to a tin can. You are special, but not really in the good way. You are especially amusing, and fun to fluster, but special as in something unique....na

Ann T. We are not arguing with you at all

"Elena and her croanies (cronies) can deny Candy bashing all they want, but they do bash her. They post links to other blogs that bash her as well. I have never gotten anything good or fruitful from any of Elena's blogs or her buddies' blogs. As far as I am concerned they are a p[ack of liars. They bash, they encourage bashing and hatred. Candy has never encouraged hatred towards catholics. They come here, copy and paste others' comments and post them on their Candy bashing blog and feed from flesh. Very sad.Anne T. 06.25.08 - 4:54 pm # "
Anne T. We do Candy Bash at this site for sure. You will get no argument from this blog. That is all we really want to do while we are here is to make fun and discredit your false prophet. Now the part I take offense at is the pack of liars part. Show me the money. Where are we lying, especially since we can prove your flock leader has made bald face untruths.

They must have us confused

Kim comments on Candy's site:
"I just read through that anti-Candy blog by Elena and the others... it was truly sickening. I could not even leave a comment to their filth. I can't believe how they toss around scriptures about peace and love on a blog that is literally bashing a person and what they believe truth is. I am truly sorry Candy, I guess the only light is that you are being persecuted for His name sake! You are a wonderful wife and mother and a blessing to so many others, don't lose sight of that. There is no response to that type of ugliness and unGodliness used in God's good name. One woman named Angie said "when you have a woman who fills her mind with anti-catholic bigotry..."blah blah and on and on about you Candy...so this Angie's response to that is "you turn the other cheek on something like that and there is no telling the damage that will be done" Well if that really is how those ladies feel then they don't know Jesus at all. Jesus turned the other cheek, and bore all our sins upon his back, he bled and died on a cross for us. We have nothing left to prove, it is a gift of love. Candy, you don't have to publish this comment if you don't want to, I am not trying to stir up anger from obvious anti-christians, not just anti-Candyites. I am praying that even if they can't let go of their "catholic vendetta" then they can truly begin to understand Jesus and having a true a personal relationship with Him, one that changes you so greatly that you are no longer that person that does ugly things. Jesus' victory is our hope. They say on their blog that they are not bashing or name calling just making a justified response to something "anti-catholic". But WE do not have to defend what is God given, God is the defender of the brethren. "vengeance is mine says the Lord, I shall repay" that being said I don't peruse the internet for "anti-christian" people/media/blogs/propoganda (propaganda) and then make blogs in response to them. I guess we should all get out there and make blogs against the public school system, darwinism, gays for marriage, divorce, etc. etc. etc. Anyplace where we as christians (I don't understand why she doesn't capitalize her faith) feel like the opposite of God's truth is being declared. Let's just focus on Christ and who He is, not on the speck in eachothers eyes. I didn't leave a comment on their blog and I won't because I read their "sweet and Godly" kidding, responses to people who "oppose" them, and I will not be visiting their blog again. All I can do is pray for them that Jesus' love and kindness will overwhelm them and they will come to repentance. Jesus bless you Candy."
Boy she sure does not know about us. Yes Kim we are different than the VTC. You should email Elena and tell her how much you appreciate her professional and courteous blog. I highlighted what I considered to be hypocritical. The idea that someone would write to Candy to turn the other cheek, religion is a personal relationship with God, a Catholic Vendetta????, once you find Christ you stop doing ugly things, and that we should all do blogs opposing what we are against. First they do all post blogs about what they dislike, right. Darwinism, gays, divorce, public school, and Catholics are all topics on Candy's page. She then goes on to write that we do not have to defend our religion, basically. Then stop, you pack of morons. Why do you continue to put down other religions to justify your own? Stop saying nasty things like "you are dumb," "you don't know your religion," and all the other nastiness that comes out of their site. How does Kim know that the ladies at the VTC don't know Jesus? Who is she to make that determination? She begins by addressing Angie quoting only half of what she said, and then finishing it off with blah blah blah. Exactly that is an intelligent retort for sure. I suppose the ladies at the VTC are using multi syllable words that come off as gibberish to Candy and her cronies. Ladies at the VTC you may want to "dumb down" your retorts and rhetoric. It is flying over the heads of the MENSA candidate. Stop confusing them with scriptures. They don't understand. You may want to start using pictures.
We do bash Candy. We rarely use scripture to do it. We use common sense and sarcasm on this site. We use our greatest asset: intelligence.

I guess a farewell to Ginger is in order

Ginger comments on the notebook:
"I think you have handled yourself extremely well. I am thankful for your posts. You have said things much nicer then I ever could have. I do not have a knack for words. You and I are not going to teach the devil anything. I fully believe the devil is at hand here with those anti- sites. Such hatred. It is so sad to see the hatred in those posts. I have decided to not comment on that blog anymore, it is getting no where since they are bent on hating this person."
So I say farewell to Ginger, and hopefully she will change her mind. It is funny when someone disagrees with her they become the devil. I am sure her future or present psychiatrist is Satan as well.

110 comments wow we blew the previous record by um almost a hundred

I think the MEEZ is occupying time for Candy. She has now started to multi task her bible teachings and blogging at the same time. I have a feeling she is being touched by our site. Her last three posts have been lame, and have occupied about four minutes of her time. I guess all that fake dancing is time consuming and tiring. Wow what a discussion we had to day, and I don't expect to end anytime soon. We have had a ton of new readers, and I have to think that credit goes to our friends at the Visit to Candyland website. Thank you guys so much. We all really appreciate it. I think we all had a pretty constructive conversation, and everyone had the opportunity to be read without moderation, editing, or deletions. What a refreshing change from the blessed home. I will be working on a new post for this weekend, based upon the damage that Candy's site does to other women that read and follow it. I think we have found that her followers are either so blind as to never being convinced or ever wanting to hear anything contrary to their beliefs, or we have found a couple of her readers that are actually intelligent and enjoyable to converse with (Mrs. Butler). Hopefully the traffic will keep up, and hopefully Candy will drop the MEEZ thing so we can get back to business. I will be researching and posting several things in days to come. I am going to find the Hall of fame, Mensa, ITU, and modeling quotes to post. I will also find some of the information about Erik's run for congress. Hopefully we can get Candy's attention, which who knows she could be one of the new guest, and have her on the site to actually have an open discussion.

Yes we are getting acknowledged

Candy 6/24/08:
The summer bug has bitten me (and I'm not referring to my BR bite, which has healed, praise God) so hubby and I have been sharing some songs with each other that we used to listen to, and I came across my old fave.I dedicate the below song to Elena and the other anti-Candy-ites: The Lord has called me to do a very special job, to spread the Gospel of Christ, and I WON'T BACK DOWN... :-D""
First of all Tom Petty? Wow, great taste in music, and such a timely song.
The "BR" bite: Almost every single web page talks about the healing time for brown recluse bites taking around 3 weeks. Hmmm...I guess her therapy works, or maybe CANDY IS A LIAR.
We are much more confrontational than Elena, and less needing of acceptance from Candy. I thought she didn't read any of these anti Candy sites.
By the way if you go to visit candyland, we are referenced on their website now. It is right under the three videos tagged I think she has bigger problems than us. I love it.
You have us wrong Candy. We don't want you to back down. It is sort of like lobbying the circus to get rid of the freak show. Are you really going to watch some clowns jump out of a small car?

Sorry for the dealy...I maybe in and out during the month of July

This is going to be a hectic month. We are incredibly busy at work, and I usually fill in dead time with this blog, but I am seeing very little dead time in the month of July. Please bare with me; I will do everything I can to stay caught up, but to be honest this blog is rather low on the priority list as far as work, family, and keeping up with my home goes. After July though I am free to spend every second, which I should be working, concentrating on Candy.

Now to Candy's recent post with the link about the Catholics. First, I don't think Candy realizes that the King James Bible was actually published in 1611, and was originally introduced for interpretation in 1604. I find this interesting considering there are only like the last three doctrines that post date this. I am wondering why is that a religion, created sometime around 300 a.d., is such a cult compared to a Bible that was written almost 1300 years afterwards. I mean this is like the Scientologist proclaiming that Buddhism is a false religion to me. Secondly, what in that link proves that Catholicism is a cult. They may disagree with the doctrines, but how does it still make it a cult. Pick on the Mormons, Scientoligist, Heaven's Gate, and other newly formed religion, before you talk about a religion that was created 300 years after Jesus' death. To me this seems as close as one can get to the actual story, and to bash it seems a little ignorant.

Slow news day for Candy

It is looking more and more that the new Meez phenomenon has taken a control over Candy's time. She has left her readers feeling neglected. If you are looking for candy, then get on your fake dancing shoes and meet her at the fake dance off. If you are looking for cooking or cleaning tips, well it is looking more like she has a cure for this by just creating her digital home, and thus in the fake world there is no cleaning or homeschooling. Booo. What are we to do? We may have to start a looking back montage in order to converse about her. Maybe we should all get a meez and crash her party.

Meet me here at ten so we can pretend we are friends?

Candy Brauer 6/21/08:
“Wow did I have a blast! That Praise Party was really hopping! I just now left, but there are several people still there. Good night all... J ”
Wow is right. This maybe one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. Sure, I can see eight to fourteen year olds making up a fantasy character and going to a fantasy place to fantasy dance, but a grown woman and man with children? And her followers ask us if WE have anything better to do than to write about her blog? Just put it this way, lemon flock, I use the time I would normally be using making up a fake character and going to fake parties for my blog time. I mean this is truly sad. Hey come on everyone, I have no friends, and if you don’t either join me at the nerd party. It will be great. There will be fake bibles, fake super ultra amazing Amish style kick you in the face bread, fake buttermilk, and a fake dance floor. All for us to fake getting together and having a great fake time. Weird, that is all I have to say. I don’t understand it, and it makes absolutely no sense to me. I can think of about a million things I would rather do than to go to web site and sit around watching my character dance; making toast is one of them. Why, but I know the answer. Candy, and her cronies, have no friends. This is what happens when you are abrasive and a freak. Eventually time tells on you. Eventually your strange habits, life style, and obsessiveness oozes out, like a sore trying to purge the toxins, for everyone to see. It is okay, for everyone in Candyland. They have a place where no one will laugh at your “frumpy” dresses, your lack of social skills, and your inability to make friends. It is a world that does not exist. Shouldn’t that say enough? You have to go out, but not really, in cyberspace, because the world will not tolerate you the way you are. Keep up the good working making identical clones, Candy. Maybe your kids will have the same opportunities of no health care, dental visits, friends, or the ability to go out into the sun without getting berated because of your freakish nature. Sad, sad, sad.

Why I do what I do

First of all considering this blog is not about me, but about Candy and refuting her, I don't see the need to tell people about me. I don't feel as though anyone comes here for this, and so I will not bore you with details about myself.

Okay, I am sure people wonder why I started this post (if not then placate me, anyway and wonder). I found out about Candy through a couple of friends. It all started on another blog. There was an argument, much of the same, about Catholics, and how they were a cult. This of course was just another Christian trying to emulate Candy. The blog’s author posted a link to Candy’s page, and when I clicked on it, a whole new world opened. I started with the “Anti-Christianity” post. You know, the one that had a picture of people bowing to Mary. I couldn't help but notice the links on the side, and so I investigated the site. The more and more I looked the more I became convinced that Candy was a huge loon. I mean just to be so weird, but to be so judgmental at the same time, highlighted the word irony to me. It is like a mentally handicapped person berating someone for misspelling a word. I feel as though religion is a personal journey, and what maybe correct to one person does not mean that it applies across the board to all. I think that people can congregate under the same roof with the same basic beliefs, but I don’t feel as though there is some universal standards that applies to all. I think that a person’s relationship to their creator is just that a personal relationship. This is why I can’t stand Candy. She is poor (she can’t afford insurance, detergent, trips to the doctor or dentist, taxes, and other items that most people take for granted). I don’t judge her for being poor, at all. Heck, I am trailer trash (not now we live in a home, but when I was young we lived in the poor section of the trailer park). I do judge her for judging and condemning people for not believing exactly as she does. She thinks just because people have items that she can not afford, then they are going to hell. She looks down upon people for having money, because she does not. This is called jealousy or envy .
Now there are other reasons that I do not appreciate Candy. For one, I feel as though she sets up a standard, that she herself does not meet, for her readers. There are several of them that feel incompetent as parents, wives, and people because they can not “keep up” with the Brauers. When you do a little research you will find that the Brauers do not keep up with the Brauers on Candy’s blog. I think that is an abomination to place guilt on other people for not being “perfect” (although even reading Candy’s blog and taking everything factual that she says you can find plenty of fault in her). I also do not appreciate Candy for her bigotry against Catholics. I am not a Catholic, but I do have strong feelings about other people’s religion. I think it is one of the most personal subjects that one can talk about, and to condemn or wag your finger at something that someone holds so dear is just flat out mean and un-Christian. We are a country and culture that enjoys feeling superior. This is what spurs racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry. The need to not feel as though we are at the bottom is critical for our self esteem. Instead of appreciating each and everyone of us, and trying to understand and relate to other people’s situations and feeling, we, as a society, just do not do that very well. Until we realize that people, other than ourselves, live very different lives, believe very differently based upon our individual experiences, and those experiences shape our reality, which is different from the next person’s reality, we will never be able to grow and understand each other. Candy is at the heart of this. She is rude, mean, and demoralizing to many people. Although I see Candy as a liar and a joke, many people do not, and the damage that she does by either setting expectations that she herself does not meet, judging people by what they believe, and the uneducated advice that she gives has to be refuted in some venue. This is why I do this.
The other reason I do this is out of pure fun and kicks. She is so different than anyone I know (and yes I can be charged with the same issues , as far as judgment, that I accuses Candy of , but at the same time I realize this, something Candy is incapable of, and I am willing to discuss these issues, something again Candy is incapable of) that I sit jaw dropped reading some of her posts. I enjoy the blind flock of followers. They follow her lock and step into ignorance. I really believe this is a perfect example of the cliché ignorance is bliss. Have a wonderful weekend

Okay time for one new post

I just saw today that Candy has decided to use her imagination and create an avatar figure. Now she not only blogs about a fake life, she is chatting "live" as a fake character as well. I am just wondering how this avatar thing is consistent with her disavowing anything to do with witchcraft, make believe, or magic? Why is it okay to have an alternate form of reality, but not watch Harry Potter? Is it because she has horrible taste in movies, and that projects itself on to her interpretation of what is right and wrong. I mean seriously put yourself in her shoes. You like the new Rambo and Rocky. I know it is hard, but just try and think about being excited about those two new films of old movies; anticipating their release and on the edge of your seat waiting to see which anti-patriots that Rambo is about to slit their throats. Or which non American that Rocky is about to be beaten to a pulp by, and then suddenly at the end he comes out on top. YO, Candy! Those are horrible movies.
An update of the spider bite. I think there are a couple of issues: 1) the pictures on her post are inconsistent. Just take a look at the pictures closely and you will notice that the hair pattern of both pictures are different. 2) who has that hairy of a hand? 3) why doesn't she update us on the progress with pictures? I also think that along with that not being pictures of anyone she knows, the idea that only 3 out of 100 people have bad reactions is due to 90% of people will seek medical treatment. They do not apply the backwoods, hill billy method of rub some dirt on it. I implore anyone that is bitten by a Brown Recluse seek medical attention from a doctor and not from your pastor, please.

Candy 6/18/08:
"Unless you know me in person, then you probably have certain pictures in your head of who you think I am, and you are probably wrong about some things. I think this is why some of the anti-Candy websites are out there, and I think that is why some of the comments I get are (to me) outrageous. I think when I don't fit the personality that people have assumed I possess, then they get angry, or feel let down. Thus, this article is to tell you a bit more about me, so that some people's miss-conceptions about me have more of a chance of melting away without someone being hurt or angry."
Yes, she used spell check. Well that helps a lot. I don't know, but I am coming to the conclusion that miss "hard as nails" Candy is softening up a bit. She has wanted to clarify who she was. Yes Candy, this one post is going to help me understand you. No Candy, this one post will not come close to change the image I have of you due to reading your blog. Honestly, I don't think I see much under her description that I didn't already know. She is a little more lax on the KJV and dresses only. I love the part where she explains that she is not good at "reading between the lines," and you just need to come out and say it, but then she doesn't post them. I guess as long as she understands it. Then she can interpret and decide on disseminating the information to her flock. She is even petitioning the congregation for their opinion of her picture profile. Isn't that nice of her? I guess this is giving the inch without allowing for the mile. She didn't really have anything about hating Catholics, though. She didn't explain about MENSA, ITU certified, or any of the other untruths that she has proclaimed in the past. That is the funny thing about the Internet and memories; they are very hard to hide from. I would love to say that she has changed my opinion of her, but there are still so many issues and weirdness associated with her that I still believe she is crazy. No update on the spider. This leaves me to wonder, did it really happen?

Okay to the new post

MOVE MOVE MOVE. For the sake of the children, move away. I can see it know: "Well we keep the black widows because they kill the brown recluses, and we keep the frogs to kill the black widows, and we keep the rattle snakes to kill the frogs, and we keep the coyotes to kill the rattle snakes. It is great around the house. The kids have some many pets to play with, and the animals seem to discourage CPS."
You keep spiders???? I want everyone to know right now, we have a kill insects on sight in our home. From spiders, to ants, to rollie pollies, and any other creature that does not press the door bell, and we invite them in. If we see two spiders in a day, we are packing up the family and busting out the bug bomb (insecticides or not, rotting flesh sounds worse).
Here is a question though, and one that confuses me:"We moved out here in December of 2005, and haven't been knowingly bitten - until now." and then "We've had a few suspicious bites from "something" before, however." What the hell is going on over there? How many times do you have to be bit by "something" before you decide there is a problem? They need to sweep in there Waco style, or at least like there is polygamy going on and save those children.

Thank you concerned citizen for this

Her being clairvoyant doesn't sound too strange to me. The bible aludes (alludes, for God's sake spell check please computer whiz) to people being able to have extra-sensory powers. However, it's to whom they give the glory, and how they use it, etc.
Ever heard of William Schnebolen? He used to be a vampire. It started out with him "innocently" joining the Wicca religion, then as he moved up to the highest Wiccan grades, he got into Satanism. The vampirism (if I remember right), is the second to the last highest degree. The highest is Ipsisimus, which can only be attained after the Satanist has done a human sacrifice. Preferably full grown virgin female Christian.
William almost did the human sacrifice, but thanks be to God, Christ saved him first.
When William was a vampire, he couldn't be in sunlight, and had to sleep in small, dark places during the day. He would get physically sick if he didn't get blood. Satanist temple girls would give him blood from their veins, but he'd often have trouble stopping before they'd faint, or get woozy.
He also had a lot of strength, and other powers that he does not go into detail on. Apparently, to get him to his vampireness, he was given lots of strange herbs. This is what started making him sensitive to sunlight, and physically sick and weak if he didn't get blood.

I would like to just point out a couple of things. First she has left out some important information about this man. You can find it here: http://www.masonicinfo.com/schnoebelen.htm

Secondly, I have a guy that hangs out at the exit ramp by my house. He tells me to wear a aluminum foil hat to prevent my brain waves from being tapped by aliens. Now I know this nut case says all this stuff, but really a vampire?? He had to have blood or he would get physically sick. How about this the more blood you consume the likelier you are to get sick. Also, how dumb is that to believe. If someone tells me that they were a vampire, my bullshit radar hits full tilt. Don't get me wrong, I will sit there, listen, encourage, and try to remember so I can laugh about it later, but I can't see me buying into it for a minute, but I am not Candy.

Little Miss Muffet

Candy 6/16/08

“Wow, I've been getting some wild comments (most of them not getting published) from people who are just peeved that I "never have a bad day." Huh? What is that about? :-?A bad day is a choice. Unless there is a tragedy, or a death in the family, I'm just not going to let something like a messy house ruin my day……….
Now, for those people out there, just itching to read about a 'woe of Candy,' I do currently have my very first Brown Recluse spider bite on my finger - does that help you "feel" better? :-PPS - Yes, I know Brown Recluse spiders are poisonous, but I also know how to handle them. I may post about this tomorrow, since I'm treating my own bite now. Or, should I say "bites," since the little arachnid bit me three times... :-?”
What to say? What to say? They have a heap load of spiders at their house. MOVE for God’s sake. For someone so blessed, your home is infested and plagued by spiders. First, if you know the remedy for a brown recluse spider, and it does not include seeking medical attention, your home is plagued by spiders. If you sat around and let it bite you three freaking times? What is wrong with you? Buy a bug bomb, sprinkle your kambachu or whatever, or just outline the house in the fungus ridden buttermilk and yogurt.
Did anyone write her and ask “why don’t you ever have a bad day?” If someone is mad about the load of bs she puts out daily, then you would buy ice if you were a Eskimo. I am going to guess they do not have health insurance, considering a trip to the hospital was passed on by Candy. What a loving family they have. “How’s the decaying limb? Hopefully it will not affect getting to the dishes; the house is a wreck.”

Candy's newest post:
"Whether you've had guests, or a sick child, or something unexpected happened, sometimes something occurs, in which your nice, clean house gets turned into a disaster area. :-?For me, it was a sick child. My little girl had a fever of 102.9 last night, and she was miserable. Her tummy was distended, so we gave her some Castoria, and she seemed to be able to sleep pretty well after that." First, I looked at several website in regards to a fever that high, and every single post reccomended (recommended) calling a doctor immediately. This is why she needs to be prepared for when CPS shows up.

"While the kids are eating, get yourself dressed. Forget the frumpy sweatpants and baggy t-shirt! Put on something that will make you feel good throughout the day. Put on a pretty dress, and put a pretty, matching hair band in your hair. A touch of lipstick or mascara won't hurt, if you like those things as well. ;-)"
Is anyone sick of the dumb little smiley faces at the end of her sentences. It doesn't take a MENSA candidate to understand her tone or her point of view, but I am sure that she is always taken back by people getting offended. So if you say something like "If you don't believe like me you are a terrible parent :)" that softens it up, right. Secondly, who in the world throws on a dress to do house work???? Get the make up on, a thong, and your high heels it's laundry time.

"By this time, your kids are done eating, and may be running a muck... Don't worry about table chores - your kitchen was probably already a major mess before breakfast, anyhow. Send your children to their room(s), and instruct them that they are not to come out, until they are dressed, their beds are made, and their room(s) is/are cleaned.
Kids done with their room chores? Good - assign them chores, to help get the house cleaned up. Older children can vacuum, younger children can wipe things down. Meanwhile, place yourself at one end of your house, and tidy and put things away. Work your way - room to room - until you're at the other side of the house."
Her house sounds worse than Chinese child labor trafficking. Maybe less time blogging and your kitchen will not be a mess. I am also guessing that we are shifting her out of her routine, and it is sounds like the kids are having to burden more of the work.
"You can have some family read aloud time, go to the park, watch a bit of PBS (be careful what you watch, however), or go to your favorite Christian book store, etc." PBS are you sure you want your children watching such a liberal network?

Yep she is on the verge of losing it

Candy's Blog about people that disagree. I would like to note that it is the ABC button that has a check mark below it. That way you can continue to portray yourself as a genius. It is very hard to do that when you can't spell.

"Note about Susan, Hunter, and some other commentors (I am not sure this is even a word)
A few people have told me it was wrong to publish the "private" comment Susan left me.First off, the comment wasn't private. She gave me NO indication whatsoever, at all, that it was private. Now, you nay sayers may just go away now. Bye bye. :-).....TO MY READERS: For the past two days, there was a person who was mad at me, because I didn't publish their comment. I don't even remember the comment, but they must have said something pretty nasty to me, because according to them, I had banned them from commenting - maybe I did.So, did it stop there? No, this "Christian" proceeded to harrass (harass) me, by sending me multiple emails for the past few days filled with such sick, vile hatred, that I can't believe a person would think up such means things - including attacking my family.I set up a filter in my email, so that I cannot get said person's emails anymore, and I blocked them from commenting here (from the IP I got from their emails to me) and blocked their IP from getting access to this page.NOTE TO ALL COMMENTORS: If your comment has not been published, then please click here to find out why, and just leave me alone. When I ban people from commenting, it's either because they put up an insanely rude comment, or because they keep bugging me. Then, the audacity of someone to then try to force themself (theirslef) on me, by emailing me, even though I emailed them back, and said "please don't email me again..." People, this is a BLOG. It is MY blog. If you don't like it, then just LEAVE, and leave me alone. Sheesh. :-?PS - I think it's just plain nuts that there are people out there so obssessed (obsessed) over my little ole blog, that they are launching campaigns with organizations against me, they are running webpages with the sole dedication being to get people to boycott my books, and to gather groups of people together to harrass (harass) me. There is something wrong with the world, when people would rather attack a person because they disagree with them, rather than take care of their family, and find ways to bless others. May I retiterate (reiterate) one more time - this my by blog - MY thoughts. If you disagree and wish to put up a comment stating such, it will get published, unless the comment is rude, incorrect, or I do not wish to open a new topic. There are an average of 2,200 visits to this blog a day. If I published every comment, and addressed every person, I would never get a wink of sleep, and I would still never be able to address everyone and every issue. "

Remember the "about me" section of her blog when it says "This site is not for the "wishy washy." I've never been known to sugar coat, so don't let my name fool you. If you like people who just tell it like it is, then you'll like my blog. Welcome aboard." The problem is that she doesn't like people who tell it like it is. So it really should say if you like to hear me tell it like I think, this is the place for you.

Yes she is back hating the Catholics

Susan:I don't read your blog, and I don't recall the previous comment you keep mentioning. :-?This makes this quite an enigma, then doesn't it? Why would someone claiming to be Christian, defend a cult that has killed MILLIONS of Christians? A cult that still says in their cannon that anyone who believes they are saved by Christ alone are anethama (anathema)? Why would you stand up for a church that in the 1940s had it's priests in Serbia take off their preist (that is priest there MENSA) garb, and TORTURE millions of those people to death, because they were protestant. They were sick! They ripped babies from their mother's wombs while making the fathers watch. They cut nursing women's breasts off. They made keepsake necklaces out of human eyeballs, they peeled people's skin OFF. They collected human heads that they had decapitated. They smiled for photos while they were chopping off heads. They waved the Protestant's head in the air in victory and smiled for more pictures.Look back through history - the REAL history, not the revised history... You'll see that each time the Roman Catholic church started being ecumenical and nice nice to Christians, it was up until the large number of Christians trusted Roman Catholics, and then the slaughter began. If you didn't convert, you were tortured to death. Why torture? Because their cannon teaches that the more pain a person suffers before dying, the less time they'll have to spend in "purgatory." :-( Those priests tortured people to death out of love??? :-(Look back in Ireland and France. The Catholics made nice nice with the protestants, and then they went in for the KILL."
"Susan, I received and read the comment. I didn't publish it, or read the ~whole~ thing, as it was just rediculous (by the way MENSA it is ridiculous, it is hard to call someone a name that you can not spell, use dumb next time or something easier on your brain). :-?I think when it comes to unity, you may want to take a look in the mirror. :-(I love RCs and will not stop telling them the saving Gospel of Christ. Shame on you for trying to make it easier for them to go to hell."

Well first let us start off by saying that the original post was a comment from Susan, and Candy referred to her as a Catholic. Susan is not a Catholic (nothing wrong with being Catholic, but there is something wrong with being so obviously wrong). You can see at the bottom that Candy did not read the whole comment, because it was ridiculous (You know it doesn't tell you how to make your own detergent, live with 6 people in 1000 square foot home, how not to own car insurance, how not to pay taxes, look at my ugly dresses, how to cook horrible food filled with butter, and how to be as rude as possible). I mean she refers to Catholicism as a "cult," which I find hilarious considering the minuscule differences between Catholics and Protestants. I know the Irish and English will have something to say about that, but it is still petty. She then goes on to ask how someone "claiming" to be a Christian could not agree with her. I mean really what would be a cult. A massive church with millions of followers, that has been around for centuries, or some nut job that lives in some back wood, rural, area preaching the gospel to the other 7 nut jobs that listen? I am going with the heaven's gate crew myself. Why would someone calling themselves a Christian allow a prostitute to touch them let alone allow them to wash their feet (oh wait, that was Christ himself..ooops).

Now let's get to the center of Candy's argument. First in the 40's or during WWII Serbia was controlled by the Nazis. Yeah, you know the guys that killed millions of Jews. Well can you imagine that the Nazis killed Jews, Gypsies, and yes, some Protestant (with Catholic Priest's blessing, or they would be skinned alive or yanked from their mother's bosoms as well)? I mean I always thought of Hitler as a people person, but maybe this is my revised history. Yes Hitler killed millions of Jews, but HITLER AND THE CATHOLICS DID NOT KILL MILLIONS OF PROTESTANTS. This is just a bald face lie, but that assumes that Candy is intelligent enough to know about history. In politically correct terms it is called a misstatement, but since I am not politically correct I will call her a LIAR.
The other area that Candy has gone ape shit mad is the part about "if you do not convert, you were tortured to death." First of all Jews did not have that option. It was blood line that the Nazis wanted to get rid of. The Jews weren't so adamant about being Jewish that they would not convert until they could escape. Maybe this is the revised history Candy was referring to.
Candy also claims that for the sake of unity maybe Susan should "look in the mirror." Well first of all we all know Candy does not have a mirror in her home, considering the ridiculous way she looks. Secondly at what point do you walk away from her blog thinking of unity. Maybe if we all wanted Extra Special Super Duper Blow Your Mind Slap Your Mom Make You Crazy Bread, but since most don't look for this I don't see how this is accomplished.
Candy, I know you don't read this blog (because it would take you off your soap box, out of comfort zone, and would be reading something that comes from a person that is not border line retarded, such as you and your readers), but you should be ashamed of the name you are making for Christians, poor white trash, and people from the backwoods.

So A MENSA Candidate Huh?

http://myblessedhome.blogspot.com/ June 9 2008 Candy writes:

"Hubby and I explained how you could eat at this fancy restaurant, but walk away having only paid 12-18 dollars for full tummies. We pointed out the "hidden treasures" on the menu. (We eat there regularly.) We were all full and happy. We all went dutch, so each family paid for their own. I don't know what the other two families had, but my family had BBQ turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, Beef Briscuit, complimentary bread with honey butter, and chicken and corn chowder. Good stuff!" and "Swylv, yes, we order two main dishes - the turkey and briscuit, and several extra plates. The servings at that restuarant are HUGE! :-? I could have one of their dishes, and divide that one dish into my breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and may still have leftovers."

First of all I would like to make an assumption. People that fill up on the "complimnetary" items usually are the worst tippers in the world. So let us all now pray for the poor waiter or waitress that made 10% of 12-13 dollars for a family of 6. Good job, and I wonder why the government has to do charity or welfare programs. It could be because good Christians such as Candy suck at being charitable.

Secondly, I could be wrong, and maybe this place serves brisket on a buscuit, but I think the true story is that the woman too good for MENSA can't spell Brisket. I know she is "blogging at high speed" and has asked forgiveness for her grammatical mistakes, but she made this mistake twice and at two different times.

MENSA I don't think so.

So I found out something interesting yesterday

I was some what bewildered by the link left on Candy's page by her "hubby," declaring an end to welfare. There complaint is that it is false servitude and unconstitutional. Their whole argument is that it is unjust to force people to pay taxes that support other individuals in social programs. Well when I did a little research (and I mean just a little) I found this article about Erik in the Boulder Weekly:
Erik Brauer, (ACP), the District 2 nominee of the American Constitution Party, says socialism is enslaving Americans.
"People have been goaded into believing they're mean and cruel for not supporting government social programs," Brauer comments. "They are presuming to have the authority to force one person to work for another."
Redistribution of wealth is forbidden by the anti-slavery 13th Amendment "because money is nothing more than labor in stored form," Brauer preaches. Taking a person's labor is slavery, he says.
Restoring prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools is one of the goals of the American Constitution Party, but Brauer actually talks more like a Libertarian, calling for an end to the drug war and income taxes.
"I think the two parties ought to be Libertarian and the American Constitution Party," Brauer said. "The War on Drugs is definitely a violation of part of the Declaration of Independence, the part that says we're guaranteed 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.' It's ridiculous that anybody wouldn't think it would cause the same problems Prohibition did."
Brauer hasn't filed an income tax return since 1997. "I am a 'Give me liberty or give me death' kind of guy." Although he's raising no campaign funds and spending none of his own money, Brauer says he's running to repeal seat belt, proof of insurance and motorcycle helmet laws.
He also thinks legislators who write and pass unconstitutional laws should be held personally accountable. "In 1983, the Supreme Court said they can't claim good faith and ignorance of the law. Ignorance of the law is no excuse, legally. They can't claim they didn't know it was a violation
So I guess my question would be Why are you complaining about taxes when you don't pay them? Speaking of servitude, why do MY taxes have to go to building YOUR roads Candy? Why do MY taxes have to pay for YOUR police force Candy? Lastly, why do MY taxes have to pay for YOUR naitional security? I think the true gripe should be like the majority of Americans that pay THEIR taxes, and for those that don't really need to zip it. Remeber your quote Candy about rendering under Cesar? Remember that is how a good Christian act, they follow the law? Just another way Candy is being a hypocrite.
Lastly just to prove the ignorance in this argument, you may want to look at the 16th amendment of the constitution which states "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." Sounds to me like taxes are pretty constitutional.

Wow! This is truly great

The link the other day to Hannity, I just discovered, wasn't to Hannity at all. It was a link to Candy's "Hubby's" comment on Hannity's blog. Then she goes off and gives us another link to the exact same comment, but in so called "book form." Wow, what a wonderful cornucopia of ideas that flows out of Candy's household. I mean change it up a little. Does this response stay on her "hubby's" paste, just waiting to click away? This is one of the most ridiculous arguments ever. The founding fathers did not believe democracies were evil. They, with great merit considering Candy and her husband, thought people were stupid, and incapable of making decisions without the help of the wealthy and elite. That is why we are a Republic that has democratic principles. I can't tell from this "democracies are evil, and I am going to give you a very inaccurate government lesson" to jumping to welfare. I mean is this the worst travesty of justice out there. How about skirts Candy, or unbehaved children? Isn't there a greater need for penance than welfare? Erik goes on to say "
When the Rights of each
individual are respected, the Rights of society, as a whole, are
automatically taken care of – Justice for all, but it doesn’t work
the other way around. It also will not work if the Representatives
are not held to their oath." So the other way around would be all for justice. I don't understand, and I am positive that Erik doesn't either.
I mean Erik starts off by saying how dumb Americans are, and then goes on to say that these dumb people should be afforded all of the power. I think that was the point of our fore fathers, there dumb ass. He speaks in circles, but so do most ignorant and delusional people. You are not placed into servitude for paying taxes that purchase a hell of a lot more than just welfare. As a matter of fact, WAR is using five times the amount of money per dollar as welfare. Schools, roads, police, homeland security, the F.B.I., and FEMA are all examples of money that people are happily willing to go into servitude for.
The best line in the comment is "
When a Socialist starts using the term
'Social Justice', they are referring to Socialism". Really there Dick Tracy when a socialist starts talking about politics more times than not they are referring to Socialism. Could that be the same as when a Capitalist, Communist, or Libertarian talks about government, that they are more than likely talking about their particular view on government. It is kind of like when your wife opens her mouth or taps her fingers it is going to be about something related to religion, something offensive, or some dumb take on politics.

So Why Do These People Hate Muslims

Well surely it is because they do not believe that Jesus was the son of God, but to listen to Candy's new posts about dresses and rearing children, you are hard pressed not to think they aren't Muslims. Look out for skirts, sometimes they cling and are not so modest. Pants for women are not Christian. WTF, really Candy, hopefully you have been forgive for the years of t-shirts, jeans, and combat boots. But today's and yesterday's posts maybe the best yet, aside from the anti-Catholic jargon. Candy has made statements such as if your child disobeys you are not a Christian, if you do not home school your child you are not a Christian, and if you are a working mother you are definitely going to hell. The reach and breast of her statements going beyond astonishing to the point of out and out insanity. For a Christian, Candy sure has a hard time with acceptance, forgiveness, and tolerance. To liberals out there, you are going to hell, or at least to Candy you are. Her description at the beginning of a normal day in the life of an unchristian parent includes: You child is unruly, doesn't listen to you, and throws a fit. Your friend tries hard to be "cool" so they can meet friends with cars. My God man what is she describing. I think we are getting a feel for Candy's adolescence. Sounds to me like she was "uncool," had no friends, and kicked and screamed at the McD's playground, and is now projecting these images on her readers. I have a question for Candy: How many successful people (and I don't mean he owns his own tire store) do you know that were home schooled? You want to make sure your kid is a social illiterate, home school them. You want to make sure your kid doesn't know where Madagascar is, home school them, and if you want to make sure your kid is incapable of ever being married, yep you guessed it home school them. She is an amazing lady for sure.

Are you acting the part of a woman

Candy has decided to champion the cause of all loose charlatans out there. She has a preview, kind of like the movies, but the movies are cool and interesting, where she outlines some the exciting things to come. These include, but are not limited to: Why she wears only dresses, Glorying the home (I am sitting on the edge of my chair to figure out what that means), Motherhood and how it is joyful (except when CPS shows up), Are you acting like a lady (great Aerosmith Song...wait I take that back), and How are you treating that body...like a temple? All of which sound so riveting that I may have a difficult time getting back to washing the dog or making toast. I can't wait to hear how all of this can help me daily (wait none of it can). She is also having some issues with an Internet stalker. Apparently, the Internet stalker has hounded her, and published her last name and home address (including a picture with arrows pointing to it, no wait I was wrong about that. That was actually Candy that did that to her so called stalker. I can't imagine why they would be mad). She is definitely shook up about all this, and is taking corrective Internet action (you know considering she is ITU certified). I am sure her and the other foaming at the mouth bible thumpers will be wielding pitch forks and torches in order to teach this heathen a lesson. Very Christian, in deed.

Candy's newest post

Candy has decided to throw her hat, or head scarf, into the political arena. http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?t=683231
This is her newest post with a link to Hannity's site. It is in reference to the idea that the United States is not a democracy, but a Republican, which the both are true, and are not mutually exclusive, but so goes most points by Hannity. She had, at one point, a tag for the libertarian party on her website. Bob Barr, whom has now changed his stance on legalization of drugs and the patriot act. I am not sure if she is aware of what she is supporting, but that is like most issues with her. She should really stick to something she knows: pissing off the Catholics. I understand her and her husband's needs to talk about politics. I mean he ran for Congress years back, and had a successful run. He came in fourth behind the Republican, Democratic, and Libertarian candidates. He squeaked out fourth with, I believe, two votes over the Natural Law Party's candidate. He had a whopping 72 votes. Close, but no cigar I guess.

I hope everyone enjoys

Hello Everyone,
I was very lucky to have stumbled upon www.keepingthehome.com. It has sense been an incredible source of entertainment. I have not only enjoyed Candy's posts, pictures, and recipes (which by the way would turn away an Ethiopian from eating), but I have been amazed by the choreographed circus of freak show supporters. There are great tips about "What to do when CPS shows up", how to make your own detergent, why I am a dresses only, why I am a KJV bible only, I hate Catholics, and many many more delightful, yet useless, tips. In my opinion she is a very close minded, judgemental individual. She spits venom in the name of the Lord to people that do not believe completely what she does. We have found such incredible claims such as Candy use to be a model, ITU certified, her husband was inducted into the inventors hall of fame, she was asked by MENSA to join, and the link to her church that she does not attend. Please help me continue this struggle against evil and provide further instances of her untruths.
Thank you,
