I don't think in the Meez world, there are too many teens looking to get saved. Yes, as a parent, I would have a problem with somebody "saving" my 14 y.o. son. I had to terminate my housekeeper because she kept on trying to "save" me and she would ask why I had a St. Francis statue in my courtyard, BMV & St. Joseph statue in my house. I was fine with defending my faith until she started with my son while I was on an errand. And then I "zapped" her and she is no longer with us. She gave me the same "spill" as Candy does-- if it is not in the bible yada yada yada. I love the Catholic Church and my faith.
Anyway, see you in Meezland. Sara

Well, I'm a Baptist and I don't buy into the whole idea that people become converted that easily. Now, it's not hard to have faith in God and put your faith in him to have a personal relationship, I just don't buy the ABC's of salvation stuff. It's about faith, and any reciting of prayers HAS to be done with a personal faith in the God that you're reciting them to.

Now, the beef I have with Candy and her issue with Catholics is that she says basically that Catholics just recite prayers. Well... isn't that what the "sinner's prayer" is to someone who doesn't mean it or doesn't carry a real faith?

It's no different.

Milehigh...my blog name is ilovecandysblog. It cuts it short and I would prefer you address me with my full name.

I would be happy to, CC. What is your full name? I'll even capitlize the middle one.

especially when you don't use the full name of the person you are addressing.
Doesn't use the full name AND SPELLS IT WRONG!

No "gh" honey. Thanks!

Well, that's ONE of the issues I have with her in regards to Catholics.

The BIGGEST problem and the thing that will go all through me, is when she says that Catholics, just because they're Catholics, are going to Hell.

Yeah, that goes over me like a brick wall.

I'm just going to chime in that I too think to pull a prank like that was in poor taste. I'd guess that God doesn't look too kindly on people who mock gift of salvation through Jesus' the death on the cross.

Okay, F U is not my usual langauge; my kids would be shocked. Replace the F U with, 'it makes me angry'. I hated to be the person to pass on the bad news and it didn't seem like anyone else was doing it (including mom22, who could have done it upfront). It took me a lot of agitating to figure out what to say and to bring myself to actually send it, and it hurt to imagine her disappointment, and I don't like hurt.

But maybe I was wrong; maybe I wasn't the only person who tried to warn her, because despite the comments I sent her, she is still posting comments praising her success.

I agree that the teens acted very wrongly but I am just glad to know they were for real. The last thing the world needs is people following Candy's hateful, bigoted brand of Christianity.

that should be "weren't for real"

That is so sad. It seems that she doesn't care if they are for real or not just as long as the candy-heads praise her name for being such a wonderful Christian example.

wow I have missed a lot. Honestly I have to agree with high desert on this one. No matter what Candy has done mocking God and his gift of salvation is something that I find intolerable. I thought it was wrong even when we did not know who was doing it.

As far the not being able to save children without a parent's permission, I am just very glad that my husband's bus capitan did not feel that way.

The only issue I have with Candy of late is that even if it is a true salvation it is not something that I feel you should run around saying I got these people saved. ONly God can do that by using you as a vessel. Bragging about something of this nature is prideful and in my opinion numbers are less important than true salvation.

An Open Note to Candy's Readers:
(we know you read here, how else could you email all the gossip to her?)

I am not persecuting Candy because she is a Christian. It is wonderful that she acknowledges God and trusts in His son.

I DO, however, take issue with her using her superior brand of Christianity as a platform to spread lies and misinformation.

Anonymous said...

what bothers me is that Candy is allowed to mock the Catholic faith all the time.. which for me (A Catholic) is just as hurtful as what these teens did to Candy.. but Candy's followers never say that she is crossing the line with this.. what the teens did was wrong and they need to see the error of their ways and Candy is just as wrong and needs to see the error of her ways as well.

"You people don't believe anything Candy does that is good. None of you have anything to contribute that is worth while. Tia rambles, Ginger is an idiot, now a new bimbo joins GWSMC. Does the hate ever stop here? Why don't you all get off your computers and do something worth while today."
Welcome back CAE!

Ginger, anyone against you is CAE? Everyone love you but CAE? Oh and you people can't have it both ways. Some of you say they are kids and some say they are adults. Which is it? You just are either too lazy to read all the previous comments or you dumb.

If they are using their parents computer, the parent can stop them. Stop being a friend to your child and parent them. They are 18 and should no better. Who cares if they were your kids. They were in your house using your computer. Geez.

No just you CAE.... But hey thanks for mentioning me. I appreciate it:)

for the record what those children/adults did was wrong. That is mocking Christianity.

I uh think that the blog owner was using that to pick on me, I type to darn fast for my own good and while I know the difference between no and know and now...... I just type and do not proof read. So I am thinking you are thinking of me.

I agree- I picture Candy sitting at her computer with a tally pad of all the souls she has saved, maybe even a method to show the bonus points for Catholics saved. Her pride really shines through as well when we know she has been informed that last night was about kids goofing around, and she won't acknowledge it publically because it might not look great.

However, in my mind, it would make me feel more sympathetic toward her if she were just honest. She must have been one tired puppy today staying up until after 2 in the morning "saving" some teens who were just messing with her.

I wonder why Candy spends so much time with her meez life when she could be out building relationships with people and being more hands-on with her "automatic" works. The internet is great, but it is way too easy for true intentions to be hidden.

Hey y'all! I am Erika from VTC. I posted here way back at the beginning of this blog but stopped and have just been reading the comments. I have found everyone here VERY interesting. From Milehi's crazy clowns, to Tia's great comments and Clare's very moving story.(Clare- I too lost a baby very late in pregnancy, I am so sorry for your loss.) I just love the wit and humor that goes on here. I even like when the Crazy Candy Clones start up as they just lead to more funny comments.
This new thing with the kids/adults faking there salvation- I agree with Tia that perspective is needed. I also agree with the comment that even though Candy has written some pretty horrible things about Catholics no one have ever told her FU. I was very tempted at times to do so but I haven't yet.
I just wanted to say hello and out myself because I live in Japan I am always reading after the all the other comments(we are 13 hours ahead of the East coast USA)
Keep up the great conversations as they have made me LOL a lot!

I visited her meez room, and she said last night's events were real. And another person was getting saved while I was there - but I was having a conversation with her husband about evolution so I missed most of that conversation.
Can someone really get saved on meez - I don't know, but some of those kids don't seem very happy. They come in all mean and hostile, but maybe they could also be lonely and confused. I can see how they might go along with a simple formula that's supposed to make things better, and gets them some positive attention.
Anyway, I'm going to drop it - it seems like my worrying was not necessary.

Highdesert, I think you jumped on mom22 and completely over reacted.
I'm feeling bad for her now, because many subsequent commenters seemed to follow suit.
Ought not tenderness of feeling and 'hating hurt' be consistent and apply to everyone?
In the process of clambering onto the moral highground I think we shot the messenger.
Mom22:
I'm sorry you got pummelled like that. Thanks for the information, it sheds light on what we already thought.
I'm sure you have great kids. I'm also sure they are not perfect but a work in progress.
I can see the enormous temptation to play with Candy like that. It takes maturity to resist that kind of lark.
Candys armour plating deflects all, her sherman tank rolls on regardless, flattening all in its path.

Clare@ BattlementsOfRubies said...

Hi Erika. Nice to see you here.
It's pretty interesting to see how this site has found it's own level.
All comments are allowed and yet it hasn't turned into a hateful bullying place at all.
Quite the reverse. I find the commenters here to be mostly very mature and insightful, from a great diversity of perspectives, the commenters here moderate themselves. It's been interesting to watch that evolve.
I think it is sooo telling that the REALLY ugly comments come from Candys camp ( That's you caw/cae/ilc. Oh yes. " By their fruit ye shall know them" Indeed)

Some people have said that they feel uncomfortable with the name of this site ( CIALAAFP)
I must say that at first I did too. And I felt some moral squeamishness over participating.
Now I think that those words describe exactly what Candy is.
God used the other 'heathen' nations to disipline Israel. Candy needs to remember that there is a higher authority to which she WILL answer.
To mislead people in order to satisfy the pride of ones heart is serious. To do so in the name of God is blasphemy. Has she no fear of God to USE Him in this way?
I think these so called 'anti candy blogs) are sounding the alarm and calling attention to her devices, artifices and pretensions.

I've just read the newer comments on Candys teen revival post( or maybe that should be TeeN ReViVaL, not quite sure what the wonky capitalisation is about, perhaps it's an attempt at 'funky')
I'm just shaking my head at how credulous people can be.

Reading over them I am reminded of the 'liar and false prophet' Marjoe Gortner.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O0p4ZDnDoQ

Something for the meez room perhaps.

I'm pasting the newer comments in for sweeping and anyone else who can't read them. And as a salutory reminder to all of us that Candy has an eager and trusting readership who are taken in by her claptrap.

Gravatar What an amazing thing! I was going to go in your room last night, but I saw zero people - later I saw 1 person. I wound up watching Paul washer sermons on my own, listening to praise music, and my KJV audio bible. Guess it was God's plan.
Blessing to you and your beautiful family - and blessings to those teens!

Gravatar Wow it must have been pretty late, i peeked in around 8:30 or so my time to see if you were on =p Im glad i didn't stick around though, i would rather a person be going there to get saved, then just me hanging out =p

Also Candy, I don't know if you remember this, but a few weeks back you and your husband encouraged me to go to church, but i didn't want to go alone. Well i went this morning. It was tough with my daughter. But it was very much worth it. Thank you =) I was wondering, i know you do church practise at home with your kids. I was wondering if you had an article on it, or would be willing to write one? Especially dealing with the youngest children, my daughter is almost 2 and was a huge handful, but i don't want to send her to nursery.
Thank you in advanced, and God bless you and your family!

Gravatar Candy,
How awesome to hear about this. What a blessing to know that these teens have given their lives to the Lord. I hope they get connected in a Bible preaching church soon and find someone to disciple them.
Blessings,

Gravatar Candy,
You are awesome and you allow Jesus to show himself awesomely in you. I am very sad that people think they need to talk bad about you, but it makes me think that you are a real Christian and one that I aspire to be like. Persecuted for your faith, but you persevere for the Lord! That is such an incredible testimony. Just know that you are touching people for the Lord and that is an awesome thing. Thank you for staying true! God bless you!!

Ginger,

Regarding the no/know. I apologize! Honestly, I could not remember who was the no/know person, so I was asking. Sorry if it sounded like I was pointing your out. Not my intention. :)

Rachel said...

I've been thinking quite a bit about the teens getting saved. While I do not think it's right what they did.. I also do not think it's right what Candy does. I feel bad that she honestly believes this was happening - I guess I'm a doubting Thomas because I would have been suspicious. Then again, perhaps having the shoe on the other foot will awaken her to what she is doing? Maybe not.

I appreciate Mom22 for speaking up and setting the record straight. I have a 19 years old.. and I cannot watch over her 24 hours a day. I try my best, but I'm sure she has fallen - haven't we all?? - at some point here and there.

Maybe Mom22 had already spoken to her kids about teasing such as that. She didn't say and we don't know what happens in her home unless she posts about it. I think she got a bum wrap.

But you can plainly see by Candy's "update" that even after hearing the correct story she still sticks to her own version, just as she does when she is pointed out that her information on Catholics is wrong. So.. which is worse?

I have no idea why Ginger thought that Rachels picking up on ILC's mispelling of 'no' could be construed as a dig at HER.
No idea at all.
You don't strike me as the touchy, hyper sensitive sort Ginger.
Perhaps I misunderstood something here.
care to clarify?

Pretty pretty please?
I know you're hacked off but we didn't all have a go at you.
Perhaps we're being collectively punished here.

Clare,

I know what Ginger meant. When she first starting posting here she posted no instead of know and they teased her about it. So when the ILOVECANDY poster did the same, I thought maybe it was a clue to who our mystery poster was and was asking if anyone remembered who mixed up know and no. It was Ginger, and I don't think she is our mystery poster :)

Anonymous said...

I thought Rachael was asking about who mixed up the know and no usually as to figure out our new friend ilovecandy. That's why I wrote what I wrote... Nope not touchy was just stating a thought of who she might have been thinking about when she was talking about that post you quoted. Matthew made fun of me in the beginning as I tended to do that.
